Australia Day Fireworks

hi there,
I hope you are enjoying this Australia Day long weekend. I had a few friends around for a BBQ last night and then left them to continue to enjoy the evening while I whipped down to Armadale to take some photos of the fireworks. Nothing like what they had in Perth but I still got some practice in with my photography.

I am hoping one year it wont be so hot so I can brave going in to the city for the fireworks.

hi there,
I love this time of year when the Frangipani are blooming. It reminds me that my birthday isn't far away.
This is a photo that I took last week of the frangipani that I got off my friend.

thanks for stopping by.

Artistic Cosmos

This afternoon I went up to the rose farm in Carmel for afternoon tea and to take a few photos. This was a photo of some cosmos that I decided to add some artistic filters to. I love how it turned out.

Roses through my lens.....

I love roses and have a lovely garden bed with them in, but I went up to the rose farm in Carmel for my friend Julia's birthday party last March and wandered around with my camera and took some photos. Last night I decided it was about time I edited them and now can show you some of them.

I will show you more later. I plan to go up there and buy 2 more roses for my garden as one died and I have space for another one. Also I plan to put in a climbing rose when I get my arch for the garden bed.

Happy New Year.

Hi there,
just popping in to say Happy New Year. I have been editing photos today while keeping cool in the air conditioning and I found  some lovely ones. Tonight I will show you photos of bees and white butterflies on the flowers and come back later to show roses and birds.

Best wishes for a safe, healthy and happy New Year!

Seagulls and Pelicans.

hi there,
we out out fishing this morning at sunrise to beat the heat. We didn't catch many fish but I did get some photos of the seagulls and one pelican on the way back in.

the sunrise behind us as we went out to sea.

with this heat wave here in Perth I haven't been venturing out much so that is why we got up at 3.30am to be out before it got too hot. It was 28 deg on the coast and by the time we got home it was 38 deg. Big difference.
